New Regency Orchestra's much talked about debut album dropped in June 2024. The celebrations culminated in a fantastic launch party gig at Scala which Nathan Webber captured expertly in this brilliant edit. Inspired by a glorious era of NYC’s musical history when jazz luminaries like Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker were joining forces with Cuban greats like Machito and Chano Pozo. A dynamic fusion of music to dance to, that found a home at The New York Palladium. NRO’s 18-piece Afro-Cuban jazz big band breathe new life into a selection of tracks from this musical melting pot via some of London’s best Latin and jazz musicians. This footage is only a glimpse of the spark they ignite when they perform. It’s an energy born on the stage, that they have distilled down expertly for this debut release.
