After the film Star Wax in Luzon island last year, snic, aka DJ coshmar, is back in the Philippines. This time more focused on painting than digging and spinning, this short documentary focuses on his collaboration with Sim Tolentino on the basketball court of the JP Concepcion community in Pasig. This wall pays tribute to DJs who scratch, also called tablists, in order to use their turntables as musical instruments. The most talented and well-known tablists, like D-Styles, Shortkut, Mixmaster Mike, Qbert, etc., were born in the Philippines or of Filipino descent. Then after a party in Makati with DJ Caliph8 at OTO (Asia’s 50 Best Bars) , snic was lucky to be invited to the CIS Crew 'Year End Graffiti Jam2'. This second session takes place along a road in San José Del Monte, Bulacan, on a Sunday. Forty writers celebrated the art of graffiti to close out 2024, before the end-of-year family holidays!
