DJ COSHMAR’S ART TRIP IN BANGKOK

Seven years after my first trip to Asia, the special Bangkok-Singapore Star Wax special edition - PDF ckick here, and my first documentary, I returned to Bangkok. Of course, I didn't miss the record stores. Most importantly, I had the honor of curating the Urban Culture Day event at Marshall Livehouse: I invited LOAV to exhibit his sculptures and paintings, and Toon, a local BMX flatland rider with an international reputation. Toon brought his community together to participate in the Double Control Flatland Kids U10 contest and jam session, while I was on the decks. This time, in the following days, again with LOAV, we painted a wall with Bows, a local graffiti artist. Then we painted a second wall in Chaloem La Park. It's incredible and historic because this painting in Chaloem La Park is actually the final layer of paint on the main wall of the oldest Hall of Fame, launched in the early 2000s, in Bangkok. This graffiti and small soccer field was also a park, a place to relax amidst the urban chaos. Once again, real estate speculation has put an end to a historic site, a symbol of freedom and community... Indeed, long anticipated, construction began in the days following our performance, the second week of January 2026. RIP to the Chaloem La hall of fame and park !
