Your first experience with an instrument?

I started to learn piano in music school in 2003 when I was just 7 years old. I remember at school we had a RIGA upright piano and the letter ‘’ī'' was located exactly where middle C was. That’s how I learned my first note.

When did you first start making beats?

I had my first experience with beatmaking in 2014, when my piano teacher from high school gave me an assignment to make a backtrack for Hank Mobley’s ‘'Soul Station’', so I could

practice piano along with it. At the time I didn’t know what quantization meant, so I was struggling hard to play the drums and bass with the keyboard. Great times

Freedom.

EQ first.

Your favorite software, and why?

Softube Model 84 and Logic Pro X. Since I don’t own a Juno 106 although I hope to one day, Softube Model 84 is my favourite emulation so far. We meet in Logic everyday!

Your best memory in a festival?

Seeing Cory Henry Funk Apostles live in Jazzkaar festival changed my life.

Your favorite venue in Tallinn ?

Vaba Lava in Telliskivi.
